Senior Cisco Engineer (CCIE written and lab)

Job Description:

• Provide on-going administration and support of Cisco Network Infrastructure at Vidillion's Datacenter.
• Installs, configures and maintains routers, switches, switch-routers, load-balancers, content-delivery devices, firewall/security devices, and other types of networking equipment.
• Track circuit, rack, IP, and power data in Vidillion's databases and maintain accurate datacenter- specific information.
• Demonstrated proficiency with routing protocols and related technologies, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP,BGP.
• Troubleshoot networking technologies (including BGP, VLANs, Dot1x, Spanning Tree, Port Channeling, 802.11abgn, etc.).
• Use our system resource utilization and monitoring tools to identify potential problem areas before they result in incidents.
• Perform the code/image upgrades on the Cisco network devices.

Desired Profile:

• 5+ years experience hands-on experience with BGP in a production environment
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering,or related field
• CCIE written and lab certification
• 4-6 years experience configuring and managing routers and switches.
• 4+ years managing complex network security devices (e.g. firewalls -Cisco, SRX specifically, VPN concentrators). Cisco Routers/firewall/VLANs experience with clearpass highly preferred
• Excellent understanding of network applications and protocols (e.g. SSH, DNS, SMTP, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of client-based networking with systems running Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux.
• Understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns (wireshark).
• Understanding of voice and video streaming systems and related technologies.
• Experience interfacing with Network Monitoring systems and Linux command line.
• Good Knowledge of IPV6
